Very long list, but I can say not once did my account have a SCU usage the whole server/only 3 people ever knew the password and were always legit duals (don’t many WW holders could say that honestly)

I am so happy and proud we won. I also enjoy how HoS have picked up some fans in endgame… We were very arrogant throughout the server on the forum, but i hope with our performance we have shown that there was a good reason for this. All the more hammers hitting us the better really as we proved more people wrong and made the win even sweeter. This has been one of (if not the) biggest winning margin on ukx and to be done against 80% of the server it is truly an amazing victory. Hammers in HoS were exceptional, much to the fact that everyone got passed around the 50% artifact and queued lots of siege, as we have shown much better to have 8 hammers with lots of siege rather than 2 huge hammers.

I have been very impressed by the opposition this server too, TUS are an awesome alliance, only thing that disappointed me was their bow out on trying to take the 5x artefact, I feel they could have done something better with their armies. Simcity produced a good amount of hammers, 1 or 2 which were VERY impressive! SAU also did very well all server. UV…. well what can i say, amazing hammers from such a small amount of player, stealing plans all endgame was awesome and their hits on me were also very good! The fact that everyone’s defence was o poor handed us the victory though, i really hope next server people actually make defence!

UK Speed Server Winners Added to Hall of Champions

I’ve made the first entry into the Travian Hall of Champions for a Regional Server. Congratulations to HoS (That’s Heroes of Sexytime) for winning the first Travian 3.5 Speed Server on the UK servers.

UK Travian Halloween Party / UK Speed Server Update

One thing I’ve learned by hanging around the various Travian forums (and believe me, I hang around the Travian forums a lot) is that the Travian.com forums are a lot more “business” than the country-specific forums, like Travian.us and Travian.co.uk. The Travian.com forums are always focused on the game, whereas the other forums are more about building a community of players, and having a good time.

This is just an observation, not a complaint. It only makes sense that the forums for the servers with the highest level of competition and the most focus on skilled player would also have the most serious forums, and that discussion on the forums would also have a predominately serious and competitive tone, moreso than anywhere else.

But man, the UK forums sure do throw better parties.

I’ve mentioned some of them in the past, like the  Travian prom, and the “Talk Like a Pirate Day”, but they’ve topped themselves with their Halloween party. So much so that I’m encouraging everyone who reads this site to drop by on Halloween Day to check out the fun (I know you’re going to be online playing Travian anyway, so there’s no excuse not to).

They really went all out for this:

But the decorations are just the beginning. They have so many different Halloween festivities I don’t even have time to write about all of them.

There are 7 different “Fright Night” competitions, each with a Halloween theme.

Then there’s a “Fright Night Battledome” forum as well, for forum role-playing fights.

And if that’s not enough, there’s a special “Fun and Games” forum with a lot of tricks or treats going on.

If you want to join in the fun, the festivities will run until Halloween, and the voting for the competitions will also take place on the 31st. The winners of the various competitions will be announced on November 1st.

On another Travian UK topic, the UK Speed Server is nearing its completion, and it will likely be the first entry into the Travian Hall of Champions on this site for a regional server (I said when I first started this site that I’d start doing inductions for US/UK/AUS servers with Travian 3.5). News and Notes

– Server 5 on the .com servers will be starting the endgame phase on June 26th. The official announcement is here. This time I was able to register for the server so I should be able to cover its conclusion in-depth. So stay tuned to this site for all the action! If it’s even half as entertaining as S3.com we’re in for a hell of a show!

– At Travian.co.uk, they’ve announced that the next server to restart (Server 6) will be a “classic” server (version 2.5). Pre-registration opens on July 3rd and the game gets underway July 6th. Read the official announcement here.

This will be only the 2nd classic game on an English-speaking server. Previously S3.com was the only one in the world. So now people who want to play “old school” Travian have more than one place they can go.

The Forum Admin of Travian UK hopes that players from around the world will come to play on the new server:

Tullia: I’m very excited about there being a classic server on the domain, I think it will attract some new players from all over the world, and enhance our reputation as a great travian country, as well as giving players here a chance to try a server type they may, like me, never have played.

– A new speed server is also set to start on Travian.co.uk. In fact, it starts today! This is their first Speed server to be fully version 3.5, and I’m looking forward to inducting the winners into the Hall of Champions!

– Travian.us is also about to start a new Speed Server. Registration opens June 26th and the game gets underway on the 29th.

– The US servers also just announced the winner of their writing contest for the new victory screen. Take a look at them here. I might do a longer post on them if I have the time.

– Did you know that the UK  servers reward players who get other people to sign up for the game with free gold? Well I didn’t. For details you can view this guide (it’s around the halfway point).

– In two weeks this site has gotten over 3,500 hits. I’m no expert but that sounds pretty good to me. So thanks again to all my readers!
